Internships, placements and work experience

Types of internships

Academic Credit Internships

Our internships  can contribute towards your university or college qualification. An academic internship is any credit-bearing  work experience  in which you take on responsible roles in different types of companies.  By completion of the internship, you are receiving academic credit. We offer practical, professional work  opportunities for undergraduates and postgraduates in a diverse range of fields.

Summer Internships

Summer internships are usually eight to twelve weeks long. These internships provide academic credits and experience in your field.  Summer internships are very popular, and provide opportunities to discover a particular role,  and taste of an industry.

Work Placement

On some courses, work placements are compulsory in order to get your degree.  If your  university  did not  allocate a work placement for you,  you  should find it yourslef.  Duration will depend on your course requirement, it can be between one and three months, in some cases – up to twelve months.

Gap Year

Gap year  is a period of time when students take a break from formal education.  Taking a gap year may be adventure of a lifetime, and you can use this time to  gain a great experience that  will boost your CV.  An increasingly popular option, it provides time for traveling, volunteering, learning a new language, or  other activities for personal development.  Gap years come in all shapes and sizes and is tremendously beneficial. Students often return to their education in a very much more mature state.

Whether you’re a student, or you’re taking a gap year, or you’re a career break traveler, you can  find a volunteer placement abroad that will add real skills and experience to your CV.  You can find  a volunteering placement in the areas of your interest. There are many different categories of volunteering placement to choose between.  To make a right choice, you should assess your needs, skills and desired career path. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer having no  particular skills that are needed.

Fill in the application online.  We will review your application, and issue a reference number.

When you found a suitable position, you need to fill a short ‘Express Interest Form’ to highlight relevant experience and demonstrate key competencies . The link to this form can be found in each role description.

Selection

 If you are succeful, you will be invited for a next stage of selection process, which is determined by the hosting organisation. Some organisations require a cover letter, others can  ask  to set up a personal interview.  The interview will be conducted by  our staff member or by the host organisation.

Interview Outcomes/ Confirmation

When the host organisation approved your candidature, you will receive an acceptance  letter.

After receiving your payment, we will begin working on  preparation of all documents and practical arrangement for your  internship placement.
